7 days at a time - late!

Starting with Day 77 - Music

My DS1 is mad keen on his guitar and you can often hear him strumming away, practising new tunes.

Day 78 - Hobby

Still on the knitting, this time it's a commission for a friend's birthday - purple socks!

Day 79 - Playtime

Haven't done much of this lately, but these are some of our favourite family games - Monopoly Deal, Pass the
Pigs, Yahtzee and Uno!

Day 80 - quiet

I love my digital radio - life seems very quiet when it's not on in the background.

Day 81 - an everyday sight

What could be more everyday than a cup of tea?

Day 82 - Clock

I'm not a big clock person, I rarely wear my watch and rely on the clock on my cooker or my phone if I need the time. But we saw this in a shop in Mold (DH and I) and both of us liked it, so we bought it for our kitchen.  Funnily enough, although it doesn't have a second hand, it still ticks which is very irritating, but I've only just noticed as I usually have the radio on!

Bliss!

About once a quarter I meet up with some of my girlfriends for lunch - a couple of hours of nice food, good company and conversation and a retreat from the real world.  Today was one of those days ...

... bliss!

Day 75 - Wild

DD had an inset day today so we went wild in Kingston, getting her bits for the dance show and presents for her upcoming birthday.  Sadly I forgot the camera.  This is the print of her new maxi dress - she's getting so grown up so quickly!

Day 74

From an unusual angle - a heart sinking sort of prompt!  So I've wandered about all day wondering what to photograph that might be relevant to my day, then came home to find one of my irises had flowered.  It's an unusual enough shape anyway, and I decided to photograph it from directly above. Hope it counts. :)

Shapes in Nature

The lovely warm weather has brought my grape hyacinths out.  I only planted them a couple of weeks ago to fill a hole that next door's cat had left by sitting on my pansies, but they look lovely and are such an unusual shape, I had to take a photo for today's prompt.

Days 67 - 72

Day 67 - Floor.

Hooray!  Our new hoover means that I can get all the bits up from the rug!

Day 68 - bathtime

I love our bath - it's old and a bit chipped but it's so deep and comfortable I can't actually bear to change it. I love my stripy bath mat too.

Day 69 - Fuzzy

Well it's a bit of a stretch, but these are the new socks I've just finished and put on!  I love them :)

Day 70 - off piste for me!

I had a date night with DH, we went out to Pizza Express and then to see The Artist.  This is a photo of Grants in Croydon, I liked all the escalators and lights!

Day 71 - Hidden

This is a bowl of irises I was given for Christmas which has been hidden in the darkness to grow and has just come out!  I hope I get some blooms from them eventually.

Day 72 - Garden

We have a new rotary washing line.  Hooray for getting the airer out of the bathroom and the washing out in the garden again.

Days 60-66

I've been ill - again!  So my photos are less than inspiring given that I've barely been out of the house!

Day 60 - Extraordinary

DD had her hair cut - she now has a fringe.  She is extraordinary in lots of ways (most of them good), but the extraordinary for this purpose is the sheer number of looks she can create with her hair.  This is the current favourite.

Day 61 - Grass - but not here!

March 1st is St David's Day and we celebrate that in our house.  So we have daffodils, which my lovely DH always brings me on this day.  We also have leek and cheese tart for dinner, although this year I was too ill to eat it -shame!

Day 62 - Comfort

Just the thing I needed today as I was feeling very sorry for myself.  These are the blankets I wrapped myself in and lay on the sofa!

Day 63 - Flat

I still didn't feel well enough to do much on Saturday so I started a marathon sort of my layouts, trying to put them into some sort of date order rather than randomly in albums.  These are some of the pile.  Layers and layers!  Flat!

Day 64 - Chairs

... in our dining room.

Day 65 - Arranged

Fresh for a new month, my seasons tree has been adorned with Prima flowers to celebrate blossom and spring.

Day 66 - Cooking

I'm finally feeling a bit better today and did cook something for tea - lasagne.  Not special in most people's minds, but this was special as it was the first one DH has ever eaten.  He doesn't eat pasta, but recently I bought some organic pre-cook pasta and it's a bit lighter and less chewy than usual pasta (not that I care) but bless him, he tried it when I did it before and said it was ok, so I made one as a family tea (usually we only have it if he's out!)  He ate it and said he would have it again.  A bit much for him to love it, but at least he didn't hate it!!  LOL

I forgot to take the picture before we'd eaten it!
